Remembering the fallen
Published: Thursday, 25 November 2010 02:22

On Sunday 14th November, Remembrance Day Parades and Services were held across the country to honour the fallen. In Caterham- on-the-Hill the Surrey Pipe Band led a large parade to Church Road where local dignatories, veterans and uniformed groups lay wreaths at St. Lawrence's Church followed by a twominute silence. Reverend Duncan Swan then led the Remembrance Day service for a packed congregation inside St. Mary's Church. The parade then marched back to the Royal British Legion and Ex-Servicemen's Club in Townend for lunch.

After attending a service at St. Bartholomew's Church in Burstow, Chairman of Tandridge District Council, Alan Jones, attended a wreathlaying ceremony at Kenley Aerodrome.
