Funds 4 Youngs
Published: Friday, 03 December 2010 10:23

Members of the new Funds 4 Youngs committee.

Street youth centre is offering voluntary groups for young people in Caterham the chance to apply for up to £2,000 funding. The youth centre in Godstone Road, Caterham Valley, has recently formed a new committee, called Funds 4 Youngs which has over £20,000 to allocate. The committee is made up of 15 young people from local youth groups who will vote on how much applicants receive.

The money is from this year's Youth Opportunity Fund and the remaining money from last year's fund. Organisations are invited to apply by 12th January 2011 and applicants will then be asked to give a presentation to the committee at Street, where they will be able to explain more about their organisation and how they would use the money.

If you run or are part of a voluntary group or organisation for 11-19 year olds in Caterham and would like to apply, forms and detail packs are available to pick up from 8th December at Street youth centre, de Stafford Sports Centre, Skaterham, Caterham Village Pavilion and Caterham Valley and Caterham Hill libraries. For more details call Jane Wilson on 07890 676717.
