Making a splash at the King and Queen Winter Fayre
Published: Thursday, 23 December 2010 02:30

Freezing cold fun was the order of the day at the King and Queen Winter Fayre in November.

On Saturday 27th November, the pub hosted the event, held in the pub car park for the Tandridge Community Fund (TCF), raising nearly £325 for the charity. Those that braved the cold weather to attend the Fayre enjoyed mulled wine served by members of Caterham Rotary Club and tried their hand at traditional side-shows such as 'Catch the Rat' and Hoopla.

Visitors could make a splash by aiming wet sponges at brave volunteers in the stocks and browse the craft stalls, before going into the warmth of the bar for some traditional pub food.

TCF Chairman, Mike Moss, said: "We are very grateful to Sally and her staff at the King and Queen for hosting this Fayre for us. Thank you also to the customers of the King and Queen and other visitors who generously supported the event."
