Published: Thursday, 31 May 2012 18:33

The Pumas with the cheque for £600 for a new kit donated by Glen O’Dwyer of Computer Solutions.

The Caterham Pumas Under 12s football team are sporting a smart new kit thanks to the generosity of local businessman, Glen O'Dwyer. Established in 1998, the Pumas have 15 teams and their own football ground behind The Fox pub in Coulsdon Road, Old Coulsdon. This year their managers have been on an FA Level 1 Coaching training course.

Glen, who owns Computer Solutions shop in Caterham- on-the-Hill, said: "It's great to be able to help youngsters in a community group like this. It's essential that we help our local kids have a sense of purpose and pride. I am pleased that I can contribute in a small way."

Team manager, Mike Davies said: "Without the support of local businesses Caterham Pumas find it very hard to fund equipment. We are grateful to Computer Solutions for helping the Under 12 team with their kit."
