Rotary Golf Day raises thousands for charity
Published: Monday, 09 June 2014 23:24

On Monday the 2nd June Caterham Rotary Club held their annual Charity Golf Day at Bletchingly Golf Club. Despite a gloomy forecast the weather was ideal for golf. 67 men and women golfers of varying abilities participated in the fundraising event and great fun was had by all. The highest scoring teams were rewarded with some generous prizes. The winners were 'The Young Ones', 'The Mole Diggers' came second and 'the Bletchingly Buccaneers' came third.

The Raffle, Half Way House and Double Your Money on the green, all contributed to the day’s fun. A total of £3,100.00 was raised which will help various local charities.

Caterham Rotary Club would like to thank to all the golfers, volunteers, sponsors and Bletchingly Golf Club for making the day such a great success.

'The Likely Lads' pause for a rest from the action. From left: Andy Bond, Paul Darley, Bob Hendry and Tim Allen.
