'Surrey Legends' cricket match raises funds for St. Catherine's Hospice
Published: Wednesday, 16 July 2014 19:24

On Sunday 13th July, Caterham School hosted a twenty over cricket match between Surrey Legends and a Caterham Cricket Club XI in aid of St. Catherine's Hospice in Crawley. The beautiful grounds of the school provided the perfect setting for the match that over 300 people are estimated to have attended.

Trevor Andrews from St Mary's Art Group in Caterham-on-the-Hill painted the scene throughout the match and a silent auction for the finished painting raised over £200.

An orchestra from the Valley Primary School in Bromley entertained the crowds and Blends of Caterham provided hot food.

The organisers hope to raise over £2,000 from the event and a full report can be read at http://bit.ly/1jPW3Lw
